Yakutsk's Warm Bus Stops Now Managed by Entrepreneurs
Yakutsk's Building District is home to 11 warm bus stops, six of which are municipal. Entrepreneurs are now managing these stops, with auctions held for their rental at a reasonable price of 6-9 thousand rubles. The entrepreneurs must maintain the stops' condition, keep them open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and ensure the surrounding area is clean.
The auctions for warm stops in Yakutsk were delayed due to logistical difficulties, harsh climate conditions, and limited infrastructure affecting transportation and communication. Despite these challenges, entrepreneurs are now present at the stops, expected to guarantee order and cleanliness, including seat treatment.
At the 'Novinka' stop, activists have called for order to be restored following recent vandalism. The stop is in acceptable condition, with a working air conditioner, but the bus schedule screen is missing and the door has been replaced. Suspicious individuals with bottles have been seen at the stop. Galina Dyakonova has suggested installing a kiosk at the 'Novinka' stop to have a responsible caretaker. The Building District's administration is currently considering decisions regarding the 'Novinka' stop.
The presence of entrepreneurs at Yakutsk's warm bus stops is expected to bring order and cleanliness, with the administration considering improvements for problematic stops like 'Novinka'.
