Willich District's Annual Parade & Bag Distribution Kicks Off November 5

The Willich district is preparing for its annual parade and bag distribution. School children will receive bags filled with goodies, while cardholders can collect theirs at designated locations. The event begins in Alt-Willich on November 5 and in Wekeln on November 11.

The parade in Alt-Willich starts at 6 PM on November 5, followed by Wekeln's parade at 6 PM on November 11. Cardholders can pick up their bags from 4 - 7 PM on November 5 at the DJK-VFL Willich clubhouse. After the parades, children will receive their bags at their schools, with seniors aged 75 and above having theirs delivered to their homes.

Elementary school children can collect their bags on October 8, 9, and 22 from 3 - 6 PM at St. Katharina Parish Hall. Value cards, required for bag collection, can be obtained by presenting a student ID, passport, birth certificate, or similar documents.

The recent elections saw the confirmation of Chairwoman Claudia Kivelip and Treasurer Willi Keuren for next year. Three auditors were also elected to oversee the proceedings. The identities of those who will conduct the elections for these positions, however, remain unclear.

The Willicher Heide and Willich-Hardt areas are not included in the parade and bag distribution. Collectors are currently active in their districts, seeking donations to support the event. The district looks forward to a successful parade and bag distribution, with children and seniors alike set to benefit.
