Autumn Weather in the West Palatinate - Police Report 16 Incidents - West Palatinate's First Autumn Storm Causes €25k in Damage, No Injuries

West Palatinate experienced its first autumn storm on Saturday, October 16, resulting in 16 weather-related incidents. Despite the disruptions, no injuries were reported, and all incidents were resolved swiftly.

The storm brought heavy rain and wind, causing fallen trees and signs that mainly led to traffic disruptions. These were quickly resolved, ensuring minimal impact on the public. On the A62 near Quirnbach, a driver lost control of their vehicle due to aquaplaning and collided with a guardrail. Fortunately, only property damage occurred, with no injuries reported.

In Callbach, falling roof tiles damaged a parked car, causing significant damage estimated in the five-digit range. Despite the incidents, the total damage from all events is estimated to be around 25,000 euros.
