Swiss International Air Lines Unveils New Swiss Senses Cabins for Long-Haul Flights

Swiss International Air Lines (Swiss) is set to revolutionise long-haul travel with the introduction of the Swiss Senses cabin design, starting with its Airbus A350-900 fleet this winter. The new design is a significant product investment for Swiss, marking the biggest investment in the company's history.

The Swiss Senses concept includes four revamped cabin classes: Economy, Premium Economy, Business, and First. Each cabin class has been reimagined with a more considered use of space and design language, featuring warm tones of beige, anthracite, and bordeaux.

First Class

The redesigned First Class in the Swiss Senses design includes a pair of enclosed suites: the Single Suite (2.4 sq m) and the Suite Plus (3.7 sq m). The suites offer total privacy, a spacious personal wardrobe, a large seat table, seat heating and cooling, wireless charging, and an extra-large screen that spans the width of the suite. The seats convert into lie-flat beds up to 6'6” long and 33.8” wide.

Business Class

The Business cabin in the new Swiss Senses design offers five seat types for different travel styles. It features the redesigned seating with enhanced comfort and human-centric lighting to reduce jet lag. The seats include options of sliding door privacy in parts of the cabin, larger screens for in-flight entertainment, and connectivity for personal devices, following the same Swiss design language.

All Classes

The cabin uses human-centric lighting throughout the flight to support circadian rhythms, helping travelers cope with jet lag. The entire interior features high-quality tactile materials and a timeless color scheme inspired by Swiss landscapes, architecture, and Alpine village ambiance.

Economy and Premium Economy

Economy and Premium Economy classes offer wider seats and extra legroom, providing passengers with a more comfortable journey.

In-Flight Entertainment

In-flight entertainment has been upgraded, with crisp 4K OLED screens and Bluetooth built-in, eliminating the need for crackly plastic earphones.

Fleet Implementation

The new SWISS Senses cabin is installed on all new Airbus A350-900s starting with deliveries from late 2025 and is gradually being retrofitted to existing Airbus A330-300 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Flights from 1 January 2026 onwards with Swiss International Air Lines are already bookable with the new Swiss Senses cabins. With every seat in the Business cabin having direct aisle access, heating, cooling, and transforming into a flat bed at least 2 meters long, Swiss Senses is set to redefine long-haul travel.
