Turkish Man, 52, Suspect in Fatal Family Brawl in Gelsenkirchen

A 52-year-old Turkish man is the primary suspect in a fatal family brawl in Gelsenkirchen, which left one person dead and several seriously injured. The public prosecutor's office in Essen is investigating the suspect for bodily harm.

The incident involved around 20 to 30 people and resulted in a ten-day ban for the suspect, who was asked to leave the apartment. Non-compliance with this ban could incur a fine of 500 euros. The policy in such cases is 'The victim stays, the perpetrator goes', allowing the victim time to seek advice and support. The teenager involved was informed about available assistance and their rights by the officers. The suspect, a 53-year-old man, is believed to have previously struck his son.

The suspect remains under investigation for bodily harm following the fatal family brawl in Gelsenkirchen. The ten-day ban aims to protect the victim and encourage them to seek support.
