Car crashes into trees - two people die - Tragic Car Accident Claims Two Lives on Lüneburg Road

Two men, aged 41 and 42, lost their lives in a tragic car accident on the county road 53 in Lüneburg. The accident occurred as the driver attempted to overtake another vehicle on a wet road, leading to a fatal loss of control.

The driver was travelling at an excessive speed given the wet road conditions, as per police findings. While attempting to overtake another car, the driver lost control of the vehicle in a curve, causing it to leave the road. The car then collided with four trees in quick succession. The accident resulted in the deaths of the driver and his 42-year-old passenger. The road was closed for approximately four hours following the incident before being reopened to traffic.

The identities of the deceased have not been disclosed. Police investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing. The fatal incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of speeding on wet roads.
