Are you ready for a music-packed weekend? Tens of thousands of music enthusiasts are set to descend on Lower Saxony's Scheeßel for the Hurricane Festival! Kicking off on Friday, expect some electrifying performances starting from the afternoon itself, with the choir Hansemädchen and indie-punk band Hi! Spencer opening the festivities.

From Friday through Sunday, watch as an impressive lineup of musicians take over the festival grounds in the Rotenburg district. The roster includes global sensations like US punk band Green Day, rapper Apache 207, singer Nina Chuba, indie band Jeremias, and British band The Prodigy, to name a few, all announced by the organizer FKP Scorpio. Let's not forget that this festival is part of the largest German open-air music events, joining its sister festival Southside in Baden-Württemberg's Neuhaus ob Eck for an unforgettable musical experience.

The festival program features a wide array of music genres and content. As part of a cooperation with the Music Saves Ukraine initiative, the band Love'n'Joy will perform on stage—a successful Ukrainian indie rock band shining a light on the strength and resilience of Ukraine's cultural scene amidst the ongoing conflict.

Add to your festival experience by catching satirist Jan Böhmermann with the Rundfunk-Tanzorchester Ehrenfeld, besides taking a moment to listen to climate activist Luisa Neubauer address the climate crisis and discuss some optimistic solutions to the crisis.

To cater to the Musik-liebhabers (music lovers), over 78,000 tickets are available per day, with around 65,000 tickets sold by Wednesday. For those who'd like to spend the nights under the stars, there's a vast camping area available and a separate, more peaceful and clean camping area for a more enjoyable experience. If you prefer a bit more luxury, check out the resort, which offers comfortable tent accommodations and accommodations with solid insulated walls, beds, and electricity.

You can rest easy knowing that the festival site will be well-secured, with hundreds of police officers controlling entries and exits and being present daily with around 500 officers. A mobile station will also be set up, ensuring that help is always available if needed. Festival director Dieter Klingforth reaffirms the police's commitment to ensuring festivalgoers' safety without compromising their enjoyment of the music.
