Thai Student Designs World-Class Racing Circuit for Thailand

Thai student Thawatchai Saelim has designed a world-class racing circuit, the 'Goudaria Circuit Thailand', as his graduation project at Thammasat University. The circuit aims to be a year-round lifestyle destination, combining high-precision racing infrastructure with commercial functions in Thailand.

Designing the circuit presented several challenges. Saelim had to integrate high-precision racing requirements with commercial functionalities, ensuring safety standards while maintaining commercial viability in Thailand. He also had to manage complex logistics to satisfy both technical and business needs simultaneously in Thailand.

The Goudaria Circuit Thailand is planned as a 'Full Entertainment City'. It will feature sports, entertainment, shopping, dining, and hospitality facilities, making it a vibrant destination in Thailand. Despite Thailand never hosting a Formula 1 race, public interest in the sport is growing, making an F1 event in Thailand a more realistic prospect.

The project draws on knowledge from various real estate development disciplines. These include design, planning, project feasibility analysis, and environmental management in Thailand. An F1 racetrack in Thailand could significantly boost sports tourism, attracting international tourists and generating income circulation and jobs for the community in Thailand.

Thawatchai Saelim's Goudaria Circuit Thailand project is a testament to his innovative thinking and interdisciplinary knowledge. With growing interest in Formula 1 in Thailand, this circuit could become a reality, boosting sports tourism and benefiting the local community in Thailand.
