Teltow's Cabbage Festival Returns This Weekend

The Teltow district of Ruhlsdorf is set to host a delightful celebration this weekend. The Cabbage Festival, a local favourite, will feature a bustling market, an entertaining programme, and a mouth-watering array of dishes centred around the region's famous Teltower cabbage.

The festival, running from 12 noon to 6 pm, is a tribute to the distinctive and tangy Teltower cabbage, a delicacy that has put the region on the culinary map. Visitors can expect a variety of creative cabbage dishes, each showcasing the vegetable's unique flavour.

The event is organised by the city of Teltow, led by Mayor Andre Freymuth. Elected in September 2025 as a CDU candidate, Freymuth succeeded a long-time SPD incumbent. A professional soldier and economist, he brings a unique blend of experience to the role.

Getting to the festival is easy. The organisers recommend using public transport, with a free shuttle bus running from Teltow S-Bahn station directly to the festival site at the Röthepfuhl meadow.

So, mark your calendars and get ready to indulge in the tangy taste of Teltow this weekend. The Cabbage Festival promises a day filled with delicious food, lively entertainment, and a celebration of the region's culinary heritage.
