SUTRA 2025 Summit Unites 500+ for Responsible Sourcing in India

The SUTRA 2025 Sustainable Trade Summit recently concluded in New Delhi, bringing together over 500 delegates and 60 speakers to discuss responsible sourcing and climate-resilient trade systems. Hosted by IDH with Palladium, NISCOPS, and Sattva Consulting, the summit has evolved into one of India's leading platforms for advancing sustainable trade and responsible sourcing.

The two-day event, themed 'Sourcing with Purpose: India's Commitment to Inclusive and Sustainable Growth', showcased innovations in traceability, regenerative farming, and circular production at the Sustainability Experience Centre. Industry leaders engaged in discussions on aligning business competitiveness with climate action and social responsibility.

Rohit Kansal, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, emphasized the ministry's commitment to advancing circularity and strengthening farm-to-factory linkages in the Indian textile industry. Jagjeet Singh Kandal, Country Director of IDH India, reflected on the summit, stressing the importance of collaboration and shared accountability in sustainable growth. Participants reaffirmed their shared vision to align trade, technology, and sustainability for a fairer and greener global economy.

India is positioning itself at the forefront of global markets by embedding sustainability and inclusion into its growth story. The SUTRA 2025 summit served as a testament to this commitment, bringing together stakeholders to discuss and drive responsible sourcing and climate-resilient trade systems.
