Staying at Center Parcs Elveden for a Week
Center Parcs Elveden, located in the heart of Suffolk, provides a unique holiday destination for families with teenagers. The resort offers a wide range of activities tailored to engage and entertain this age group, blending adventure, skill-building, and relaxation.
During a week-long holiday, one family experienced the various offerings of Center Parcs Elveden. They stayed in a spacious three-bedroom lodge, complete with a living room, dining room, kitchen, and a backyard.
One of the highlights of their stay was the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, a water park featuring wave pools, lazy rivers, and high-adrenaline slides. Teenagers seeking water thrills will find plenty to enjoy here, including a fast blue slide, a covered green one, and a giant tycoon slide.
But it's not just about water-based fun. Center Parcs Elveden offers a variety of teen-focused activities. Kai and Dann participated in a long archery class in the forest, using real bows to shoot at animal targets. This immersive outdoors experience not only developed their skills but also provided a unique bonding opportunity.
For those seeking a thrill, there's an adrenaline activity where teens can jump off a building at various heights. Kai took part in this exhilarating experience, adding an element of excitement to his holiday.
If relaxation is more their style, the family found the bowling lanes to be a perfect spot for some informal fun. After a day of adventures, they enjoyed some drinks at the bowling lanes, unwinding and spending quality time together.
Creative workshops were also on offer, such as pottery painting. The family took a class where they made various items like bowls, cups, and even a giant shark. Amelia, in particular, enjoyed a baby owl visit, where she got to hold and stroke different owls, offering a gentle, memorable wildlife encounter.
The family also dined at various restaurants during their stay. Huck's, an American-styled restaurant, had TVs playing inside, but the service was slow on the day they visited. The Pancake House, however, was a second favorite, offering a variety of sweet and savory waffles, pancakes, and Dutch pancakes. They also dined at Las Iguanas twice, enjoying dishes like burritos, calimari, fish, and nachos.
The family also took part in a cupcake decorating class, using fondant to decorate yummy cupcakes. The Subtropical Swimming Paradise, while not exclusive to Elveden, is a common feature in Center Parcs, but it does have a shop selling floating devices, a larger swim shop outside, and a bar with snacks.
The rapids, another popular feature, have a rest area before the intense rapids kick in, providing a chance for families to catch their breath before continuing their aquatic adventures. The locker room outside the swimming area has plenty of lockers, which are included in the price of the stay.
In summary, Center Parcs Elveden offers a balanced holiday experience for teenagers. With archery, high-jump activities, Aqua Jets, bowling, and wildlife encounters, there's something for everyone. Whether they're seeking excitement, creative outlets, or relaxed leisure, teenagers will find plenty to enjoy at Center Parcs Elveden.
