From there, they headed south through Portland, Oregon, enjoying city culture, pottery lessons, and scenic drives on Highway 26 to spots like Mt. Hood, Bend, and Painted Hills.
The couple also ventured along the Oregon Coast and continued down the California coast via the Pacific Coast Highway. They spent two days around Big Sur, experiencing iconic views like Bixby Creek Bridge, McWay Falls, and Pfeiffer Beach, and staying overnight for best beach access and sunsets.
In addition to major natural parks in California, such as Yosemite and Joshua Tree, they visited cities like Portland, Reno, and small towns like Markleeville, Bishop, and Mammoth Lakes for memorable meals. Their accommodations included unique local lodging, such as Emerald Forest Cabins in Eureka and Maverick Inn in Klamath Falls.
Cotterli humorously mentioned that Las Vegas, Nevada, is a place "you have to visit at least once in your life, but once is enough". The couple also visited Los Angeles, Malibu, Santa Barbara, Carmel-by-the-Sea, San Francisco, and Sausalito in California.
One of the highlights of the trip was Albert Rivera's dream of flying over the Grand Canyon, which he realized during the helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. No new pictures from the trip have been posted by either Rivera or Cotterli, but their happiness and complicity are evident.
