Returned from Savannah, sporting some retro jewelry pieces.

In the heart of Savannah's vibrant Starland District, nestled on Bull Street, lies a treasure trove of nostalgia known as The Vintage Vortex. This charming vintage store is a haven for those seeking unique, time-worn pieces that tell stories of yesteryears.

During a recent visit on a sunny Thursday, February 1, I stumbled upon two exquisite rings at The Vintage Vortex. The store, brimming with character, offered a delightful assortment of vintage items, including Roxy Flip Flops, a $3 Canvas Tote, Madewell Sculptural Droplet Statement Earrings, and a variety of rings.

One of the rings I purchased was a Vintage Pave Ring, while the other was a Vintage Dainty Double Stone Ring, both priced under $25 each. For those seeking alternatives, I've found the Quince Pave Diamond Slim Signet Ring, priced under $250, and the Quince 14k Gold Micro Pave Ring, a close match in style.

My shopping spree at The Vintage Vortex was not limited to these finds. I also came across a James Avery Foxtail Chain Necklace, priced at $145.00, and a James Avery Heart Drop Anklet, retailing at $300.00. Other accessories I discovered included Mejuri Thin Dome Rings, priced at $45.00 each, a Mejuri Dainty Beaded Ring for $20.00, and a Linjer 14k Gold Three Diamond Ring, available for under $200.

My day in Savannah was filled with more than just shopping. I spent hours picnicking, rummaging through vintage shops, and even sticking my feet in the Atlantic. The weather, with temperatures ranging from 65°F to 78°F, was perfect for a day of exploration.

However, a word of advice for fellow travellers: always check the weather and pack accordingly. I, unfortunately, learned this the hard way when I returned home wearing flip flops, shorts, and an anklet, a sterling silver anklet given as a Christmas gift, with a tiny puffy heart charm.

As I settle back into my routine, I find myself reflecting on my Savannah adventure and planning a packing post. It will be a guide on what not to pack or what to pack if given the chance to do it over.

In the meantime, if you're a fan of vintage finds, I encourage you to visit The Vintage Vortex. You can also keep up with my journey by subscribing to my blog, finding me on Instagram, LTK, and Pinterest. Be kind to yourself today, and remember, every adventure is a lesson in itself.

  1. The Vintage Vortex, situated in Savannah's Starland District, offers a funky, unique selection of vintage style outfits, accessories, and fashion-and-beauty items that could add a refreshing twist to your lifestyle.
  2. During my visit, I found two ungaudy, budget-friendly rings - a Vintage Pave Ring and a Vintage Dainty Double Stone Ring - both under $25, along with other affordable alternatives such as the Quince Pave Diamond Slim Signet Ring and the Quince 14k Gold Micro Pave Ring.
  3. Besides shopping, the trip also included travel experiences like picnicking and soaking my feet in the Atlantic. However, I learned the importance of checking the weather before packing, especially after returning home with only flip flops, shorts, and an anklet.
