Organizer of NEC Show comments on Camping and Caravan Club skipping October Event: "May they find great success in their anniversary festivities"

The Camping and Caravanning Club has announced that it will not be attending the Motorhome & Caravan Show and the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show, both due to run at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, England. The shows are scheduled for October 2021 and February 2022, respectively.

This decision comes as a result of legal and health-related considerations related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The club has withdrawn the exemption certificate allowing rallies and gatherings to take place, leading to the cancellation of events and a cautious approach to large public shows due to the legal implications and restrictions on group activities.

Despite this, the club has expressed a desire to focus on building excitement and buzz around its 125th anniversary. They plan to make the celebration a truly celebratory occasion. The club's decision not to attend the shows does not appear to have any immediate impact on the shows or attendees, as no alternative or contradictory reasons have been provided.

Meanwhile, manufacturers have started sharing information about their 2026 season releases. Fleurette has added a longer compact layout and a special edition encouraging relaxation to their 2026 season releases, while Pilote has announced two Ford-based low-profiles and a campervan with a flexible bed set-up for their 2026 season releases.

NCC Events, the organiser of the shows, has expressed well-wishes towards the Camping and Caravanning Club's 125th anniversary celebrations and is pleased that the club will continue to promote both shows to its members.

Unfortunately, information about what will be on display at the NEC in October 2021 is not yet available. However, with the Motorhome & Caravan Show due to run in just a few months, excitement is building for what promises to be an exciting event for the caravan and motorhome industry.
