New Italian Beauty Supercar Unveiled: FIM 640 Contessa Debut

FIM Unveils Sleek 640 Contessa Sport Flybridge Boat

Italian boat builder FIM has unveiled renderings of its latest flagship, the 640 Contessa, which promises an impressive blend of style, performance, and luxury. While technical details remain scarce, the initial renderings indicate a striking sportsbridge design with a compact upper deck to maintain a low and sleek profile, along with folding cockpit terraces.

Inside, the 640 Contessa showcases a highly original interior design by BMW's Designworks studio, showcasing modern, avant-garde elements such as frameless glass doors and windows, stylized furniture, sweeping curves, and special mood lighting. The helm is also noteworthy, featuring a distinctive oval dashboard, single-spoke wheel, bespoke throttles, and a see-through glass mount for the two Multi-Function Display screens.

On the lower deck, the layout becomes more conventional, with three ensuite guest cabins positioned amidships and a single crew cabin in the forepeak. The owner's cabin is situated under the saloon, offering a transverse double bed facing across the beam to a suspended oval bookcase and mirror, providing a unique focal point.

A VIP cabin in the bow boasts a centerline aft-facing double with fixed window louvres extending from the bulkhead, while an unusual twin guest cabin offers double duty as a TV/gaming area for kids during daytime hours.

Power for the 640 Contessa is provided by a pair of Volvo Penta IPS1350 drives, which should deliver a top speed of approximately 35 knots. Set to make its debut at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival, a smaller 540 Contessa is also in development.

The FIM 640 Contessa embodies a sleek, modern design, boasting a wide, open stern for a more engaging marine experience, a perfectly integrated flybridge, and a luxurious interior crafted by BMW's Designworks studio. Powered by optimized marine engines, the boat offers a dynamic boating experience suited for both sporty and comfortable cruising.
