Navigating the Whitewater Journey
In the picturesque town of Fürth im Wald and its neighbouring village of Ran Kam, 24 altar servers embarked on an unforgettable canoe tour. The journey, which took place between Miltach and Chamerau, covered a total distance of approximately 10 kilometers.
The canoe tour took place under radiant sunshine, with low water levels and calm waters, making for a smooth and enjoyable experience. The altar servers skillfully navigated through various challenging river sections, including rapids, sandbanks, and an adventurous rock labyrinth, without capsizing.
Pastor Markus accompanied the Altarjüngers on their thrilling journey, and some parents also joined the group. The conclusion of the tour was a celebratory affair, with Pastor Karl-Heinz Seidl and several parents present to welcome the young paddlers back safely.
The tour concluded at Chamerau, marking the successful completion of the canoe adventure for the altar servers. Despite the challenges they faced, the group demonstrated great teamwork and determination, making the journey a memorable one for all involved.
The canoe tour provided the altar servers with a unique opportunity to bond and build friendships, as well as to develop their problem-solving and leadership skills. It was an experience that will no doubt stay with them for years to come.
