Multiple streets in the city's center will be shut down during the "Astana 2025 International Forum" event.
The Astana International Forum (AIF) 2025, a significant business event in the region, took place in Astana, Kazakhstan, from May 29-30, 2025. This gathering brought together global leaders, policymakers, business figures, and experts to discuss solutions to pressing global challenges.
Approximately 600 international guests, including leading politicians, heads of international organizations, corporate executives, and representatives from the scientific community, are anticipated to attend the forum.
Due to the forum, temporary traffic restrictions will be implemented on specific streets. The sections affected include Anadoly Street (one side) from G. Aliyev Street to Aqmeshit Street, G. Aliyev Street (one side) from Anadoly Street to N. Balgymbaev Street, and Aqmeshit Street during the passage of the official motorcade. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to plan their routes in advance, considering potential changes in traffic organization. Temporary traffic signs and indicators will be installed to ensure safety and minimize inconvenience on the roads.
The AIF 2025 served as a platform for robust international dialogue on global challenges, underscoring Kazakhstan’s role as a bridge between East and West. The forum highlighted the urgency of multilateral cooperation in addressing security, climate, and economic issues.
Over 5,000 foreign guests and more than 600 high-level attendees from more than 70 countries participated in the event, including heads of state, government officials, leaders of international organizations, corporate executives, and academics. The forum's agenda was centered on three core themes: foreign policy and international security, energy and climate change, and economy and finance.
Notable participants included Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Rwandan President Paul Kagame, North Macedonian President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Berset, former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, and numerous leaders from various UN agencies.
The forum's plenary sessions and key events were broadcast live on national TV channels and official Kazakh President’s social media platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, Telegram, and the Jibek Joly TV channel.
