Wet and wild clouds hang heavy as Boris, our trusty companion, and I share the old, scratchy vinyls, the remnants of a distant era. Today, the definite sounds of Ian Dury filled our room, a familiar melody to uplift us on this dreary day.
Since neither Bulgaria, Ireland, Leeds United, nor Dana made it past the semi-finals of the FA Cup or the Eurovision, we chose a more unusual spectacle—a live broadcast of the Goat Show from Plovdiv. Quite frankly, it was riveting!
1st June 2025, Sunday
Escaping the gloomy week behind us, we journeyed beyond the peaceful village of Dobromirka. The still waters of Lake Gorsko Kosovo reflected nothing but tranquility as we stood atop the dam, surrounded by the forested hills of Bulgaria under a clear Balkan sky. A symphony of spring colors bloomed between the greens and blues, punctuated by the buzzing insects and the melodious birdsong. In these hills, we found solace for our heavy hearts.

Ludo, our beloved feline, suffered from a mysterious malady. Scarlet sores plagued his skin, resistant to multiple treatments. Even our favorite vet, the charming Dr. Djambova, with her stylish pink-purple hair, seemed at a loss. However, her sincere dedication and compassionate care gave us renewed hope.

Owning two vacuums might seem extravagant, but each serves a unique purpose in our ongoing battle to maintain domestic supremacy. The heavy-duty hoover can suck up a dog's hair from a remarkable distance, but it's a bit cumbersome and requires frequent emptying. Our small, agile red one swiftly lifts dismembered lizards from our kitchen floor in a flash, but its batteries recently betrayed us. A new battery refresh brought a new lease on life for our trusty companion.

Mounting fatigue and a sense of uselessness gnawed at my very core, casting a dark veil over my thoughts. My once vibrant mental capacity faltered, and I struggled to string together coherent sentences.
