Man Bites Girlfriend's Ear Lobes Off and Gets Prison Sentence - Man Gets 4.5 Years for Brutal Attack, Biting Off Girlfriend's Ear Lobe
A 40-year-old man has been sentenced to four and a half years in prison for a brutal attack on his girlfriend. The incident, which occurred in Bonn in 2024, left the woman with severe injuries, including both ear lobes being bitten off.
The couple, who met in a supported workshop in January 2024, had a troubled and toxic relationship. After an argument, the man punched his girlfriend, then proceeded to hit her with a hammer and a saw. In a shocking display of domestic violence, he finished the attack by biting off parts of her ears.
The court did not accept the defendant's claim that he acted under the influence of a hallucination. His history of violence and multiple arrests for resisting and insulting enforcement officers were taken into account. The court also ordered the man to be placed in a detoxification facility due to his alcohol and drug dependence.
The man was convicted of dangerous and severe bodily harm. His actions have resulted in a significant prison sentence, reflecting the severity of the crime. The court's decision also aims to address the man's substance abuse issues, which may have contributed to the domestic violence incident.
