Lenin Mine Blast: One Dead, Two Hospitalized in Gas Poisoning

A tragic incident occurred at the Lenin Mine in the Karaganda region. An explosion late evening yesterday resulted in one fatality and two others hospitalized due to gas poisoning. The cause is believed to be an increased release of methane gas and coal dust during drilling.

A total of 137 people were underground at the time of the accident. All but the machine operator were successfully rescued. The two hospitalized individuals are currently being treated in the toxicology department of the Karaganda Regional Medical Center. Both patients, poisoned by gas, have no physical injuries but are experiencing headaches, vomiting, and nausea. Their condition has since stabilized following medical treatment. The identity of the treating doctor and his educational background remain unknown.

The explosion at the Lenin Mine has left one person dead and two injured.
