Khabarovsk to Host Major Tourism Festival Sept 19-21, Showcasing Far East's 'Wild Wonder'

The Khabarovsk region is set to host a significant tourism event from September 19 to 21, 2023. The Tourism Festival, part of Russian President Vladimir Putin's national project 'Tourism and Hospitality', will showcase the Far East's unique attractions. This year's theme is 'Far East - Wild Wonder'.

The festival will feature a diverse program, including a gastronomic showcase, concerts, lectures, film screenings, and culinary competitions. It will take place on Komsomolskaya Square and the observation deck, offering visitors a taste of the region's culture and natural beauty.

Leading up to the festival, a plenary discussion will be held involving representatives from various ministries, departments, and organizations. Notably, the Chinese Embassy and Consulate General will participate, reflecting the region's international appeal. The discussion will focus on tourism development, including attracting visitors from central and western Russia. It will conclude with a presentation of Fedor Konyukhov's equestrian expedition.

Young people will also have the opportunity to engage in the 'Youth Accelerator' business game. Participants will create tourist routes in the Khabarovsk region, fostering innovation and interest in the industry.
