Kamchatka's 35th 'Beeringiya' Festival Honors War Heroes
The 35th annual winter festival 'Beeringiya' is set to take place in Kamchatka from February to April 2025. This year's event, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and to the defenders of the Motherland serving in the special military operation, promises a wide range of cultural, sports, and business activities for all ages.
Governor Vladimir Solodov announced the decision to dedicate the 2025 anniversary race to these significant milestones. The festival will span over 70 events across all 14 municipal districts. Kicking off the celebrations will be the 'Beeringiya. Avacha' dog sledding event from 10 to 15 February. Following this, the 'Travel' business forum will take place from 12 to 16 February, providing a platform for industry discussions and networking.
The main attraction, the traditional 'Beeringiya' dog sled race, will commence on 8 March and conclude on 5 April. This event is a testament to the region's rich cultural heritage and its people's resilience and spirit.
