Insightful Examination of Tru by Hilton Hanoi Station in Vietnam [2025 Overview]

In the heart of Hanoi, Vietnam, lies the Tru by Hilton Hanoi Station, a budget-friendly hotel that offers a convenient location and comfortable accommodations.

The hotel is less than a 15-minute walk from major tourist attractions like the Temple of Literature, Hanoi Train Street, and Hanoi Old Quarter, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. For those arriving by air, Grab taxi and bus 86 are transportation options to reach the property from Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, which is a 45-minute drive away.

The property is situated right across the street from Hanoi Railway Station, offering easy access to other parts of the country. The cheapest room available is a 1 King Bed Room, which was under ₫1.35 million ($52) for a 1-night stay in July 2025, including all taxes and fees.

The room's workstation was neatly tucked into a corner, with a built-in minifridge beneath, providing a practical space for work or relaxation. An upgrade to a room on a high floor offered excellent views of the city. Near the entrance to the fitness center, there was a small coworking space, perfect for those who need to catch up on work during their stay.

The 24-hour fitness center was well-equipped with cardio and strength training equipment, ensuring guests can maintain their fitness routine while travelling. The hotel also provides a complimentary breakfast buffet to all guests, although breakfast was reportedly disappointing and not worth getting up early for.

The property's only dining option, Tru Restaurant, is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., featuring a primarily Vietnamese menu with some international foods. Hilton Honors Diamond Elite members receive a welcome amenity at the hotel, which can be 250 Hilton Honors points or a snack basket.

Elite benefits for Hilton Honors Diamond members include 100% points earning bonus on stays, 2 free bottled waters per day, space-available room upgrade, late checkout until 4 p.m., and a 25% discount on menu items at the hotel restaurant. However, Hilton Honors Diamond Elite status may not guarantee an upgrade to a nicer room.

For payment, the traveler used a Visa credit card, earning 14x points on Hilton purchases with the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card. The hotel also provides self-storage lockers for guest use.

Despite a slight language barrier with some hotel staff members, they were incredibly welcoming and courteous, ensuring a pleasant stay for the traveler. The hotel's location, affordability, and amenities make it an attractive option for budget-conscious travellers visiting Hanoi.
