Rising Vacation Costs in Popular Russian Regions

According to a report by Maya Lomidze, the executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, the cost of a week's vacation in the Krasnodar region has significantly increased this year. At a press conference with TASS, Lomidze noted that the average cost for two people in the Krasnodar region is now around 90-100,000 rubles, a noticeable rise from last summer.

Similarly, a week's vacation in the Moscow region is estimated to cost around 100,000 rubles. In Dagestan, the cost is approximately 80,000 rubles. However, the text does not provide any specific details about the duration of the vacation period or the type and inclusions of the vacation packages.

The increase in vacation costs in the Krasnodar region seems to be due to rising demand as travel restrictions eased post-pandemic and increased prices for accommodation and services. Many tourists have reconsidered their plans due to these price hikes. To save costs, tourists are opting for three-star hotels, rooms without meals, and skipping additional excursions and entertainment.

Interestingly, the cost of a week's vacation in Crimea is approximately 45,000 rubles per person for a three-star hotel without travel. In the Caucasus Mineral Waters region, a 10-day vacation for two people can cost up to 140,000 rubles. However, no specific details about the type or inclusions of the vacation packages in these regions were provided.

It is worth noting that the text does not mention any reasons for the increase in vacation costs in the Krasnodar region, Crimea, or the Caucasus Mineral Waters region. As the tourism industry continues to recover from the pandemic, it will be interesting to see how these costs evolve in the coming months.
