In the heart of Shymkent, the vibrant city of Kazakhstan, the Jastar Fest festival took place on August 12, marking the start of the new grant season for young Shymkent residents. Hundreds of young people attended the event, which served as a platform for new ideas and opportunities.

Mayor Gabit Syzdykbekov reiterated the city's commitment to providing young people with real opportunities, including education, business support, a modern urban environment, and open dialogue. The festival, with its interactive games, a DJ set by Romano, and a fireworks display, was a testament to this promise.

Young Shymkent residents can submit their projects in one of five categories until September 11. Over two months, 36 authors submitted applications for the volunteer initiative contest. The themes of the applications ranged from environmental protection and medical volunteering to helping underage children from broken families and improving animal shelters.

An independent jury, consisting of business, media, and NGO representatives, selected the winners of the volunteer initiative contest. The main event of the festival was the announcement of these winners, with the authors of the five best projects receiving 1 million tenge each to implement their ideas.

Applications for the "Tauelsizdik Urpaghy" contest will soon be accepted, and six best projects in various fields will receive 1 million tenge each. The city's volunteers, who are actively helping to solve acute social issues, including contributing significantly to the construction of a "Drug-Free Society," are eagerly awaiting the submissions.

However, it should be noted that there is currently no authoritative information on the Shymkent Youth Festival grants or scholarships for 2022. For precise details, it may be necessary to consult official Shymkent city or Kazakhstan youth ministry websites, event-specific announcements or press releases from 2022, or local educational or cultural institutions involved in the festival.

The festival also featured performances by Gentleman, Happiness, Baglan Zholdasov, and motivational TEDx-style talks by Ulan Mamyrbekuly and Nurym Dosbol from "Zhaydarman." The festival's concerts, talks, and the anticipation for the upcoming "Tauelsizdik Urpaghy" contest are sure to inspire the city's youth to continue creating and innovating.
