Global Gathering 2024: A Unity Event Happening in Kraków
Last week was a mind-blowing whirlwind! Over 130 of us from far and wide descended upon Krakow, Poland, for our Reunite Fests, energizing the office with laughter, high-fives, and infectious positive vibes. Many of us were meeting each other for the first time in person, while it felt like a long-awaited family get-together for the rest. After all, nothing feels quite the same as connecting IRL (in real life)!
From inspiring workshops to bustling hallway convos, every moment served as a reminder of our tribe's need for human interaction. Highlights included the dynamic Project Showdowns jam-packed with captivating projects, the heartfelt Recognition Bash that left us teary-eyed and red-cheeked, and an exhilarating Street Art Venture exposing Krakow's buzzing street art scene - from internet-anonymous murals to art supported by local institutions. And no one will ever forget the electric Friday night shindig with our shared playlist that kept the party going all night long!
Mornings: Yin and Yang of Yoga and Dance
We kicked off each day with either a serene Yin Yoga session led by Karolina Pospischil, Brand and Strategy Director, or an invigorating dance session masterminded by Piotr Dao, our amazing Community Manager and former professional dancer.
Breakfasts and Lunches: Setting the Table for Togetherness
Mouthwatering meals were served daily at our cozy kitchen, offering options for everyone. Stand-out dishes include tofu curry and a Polish classic - pierogi!
Project Fairs: Showcasing Our Creative Masterpieces
Sharing brilliant ideas came easy during our inspiring presentations of some of our website's incredible projects, showcasing our unique approaches and sparking new inspiration across teams.
Street Art Tour: Exploring Krakow's Artful Side
A tour of the Kazimierz and Podgórze districts introduced us to Krakow's pulsating street art scene, featuring everything from mysterious murals to pieces backed by local institutions.
Recognition Gala: Honoring Our Local Superheroes (or Websiteers)
Beautiful tears and chants of admiration filled the air as we paid tribute to exceptional team members and esteemed colleagues who reached their five-year milestone with us.
Integration Party: Ready, Set, Dance!
Friday evenings wrapped up with a sensational bash at Fala Restaurant. Light hors d'oeuvres, libations, and our playlist created a fantastic atmosphere and kept the dancefloor hopping late into the night!
