New Tourist Trails Coming to Zabaykalsky Krai with Presidential Subsidies

The Zabaykalsky Krai is set to receive a boost in its tourism industry, as the region plans to build four eco-tourist trails as part of the federal project "Far East Trails". These trails are expected to span a total of 124 kilometres and will be funded by Presidential subsidies aimed at developing the Far East.

One such trail will be built at the "Suhotino" ethnopark, while another will open at the "Kuka" ecoresort towards "Kreslovaya Gora". In the Khiloksky District, a trail along the "Sacred Path" is also in the works.

The annual reimbursement for infrastructure development in these projects amounts to 10 billion rubles, as reported by regional sources. This significant investment will ensure that the trails are equipped with amenities such as video surveillance, lighting, trash cans, and rest benches, providing a safe and comfortable experience for visitors.

Moreover, a visitor centre is planned to be created in the Ivan-Arakhley Park, and a new tourist route will be established on the "Undugun" trail within the Ivan-Arakhley Natural Park. The trail on the Arakhley lakes is expected to cost tens of millions.

It's important to note that these trails will be free to visit, making them accessible to a wide range of tourists. The total cost of these tourism projects in the Far East is 286 billion rubles, with a total of 430 projects currently being implemented, as reported on the region's official portal.

For those interested in precise, up-to-date details on the tourist routes being developed under the "Far East Trails" project in Zabaykalsky Krai, it is recommended to consult official Russian government tourism resources or regional development announcements directly related to this initiative. The total subsidy for the "Far East Trails" project in 2022 is 1.7 billion rubles.

This project is part of a larger Russian government initiative aimed at promoting sustainable tourism in the Russian Far East, including Zabaykalsky Krai. The project often involves creating tourist routes that highlight the natural, cultural, and historical attractions of the region, enhancing accessibility and infrastructure for visitors. These routes typically emphasize nature trails, cultural heritage sites, local crafts, and eco-tourism opportunities.
