Force passengers to bring devices in at Red Army Airport

Air passengers at the airport in Krasnoyarsk have been advised of enhancements to security screening procedures.

According to the airport's press office, passengers are now required to power on electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and cameras during the screening process. This rule, which applies to all airports in the country, was implemented with the issuance of a decree by Russia's Ministry of Transport No.34 on February 4, 2025.

The airport personnel explained that the scanner can identify rectangular devices, and inspectors need to confirm that the devices are standard pieces of equipment and not any potential threats. Passengers are therefore advised to charge their devices and retrieve them before the screening line to ensure a smoother process.
