Firefighters Rescue Tawny Owl from Chimney in Bergisch Gladbach
In an unusual but heartwarming rescue mission, Bergisch Gladbach's fire brigade team freed a tawny owl from a chimney on Friedrichstraße street last Saturday evening. The operation, which began at 7:27 pm, was completed around 8 pm, with the owl safely released back into the wild.
The fire department received an unusual call about a 'knocking' sound coming from a chimney. Upon arrival, they discovered a soot-covered tawny owl stuck in the chimney, unable to get out on its own. The fire and rescue control center sent a help and extinguishing vehicle to assist in the rescue operation. Despite the owl's distress, there was no fire or danger involved. The rescue team carefully freed the owl, temporarily taking it into their care before releasing it back into the wild.
The Bergisch Gladbach fire brigade successfully completed the extraordinary mission, ensuring the owl's safety and well-being. The tawny owl, now free from its chimney predicament, was last seen flying off into the night.
