Exploring geocaching at Saxony-Anhalt's historical landmarks tour
News Article: Geocaching Tours for Heritage Day in Saxony-Anhalt
Heritage Day is just around the corner, and the State Administration Office of Saxony-Anhalt is inviting everyone to explore the region in a unique way. They are organizing Geocaching tours focused on heritage protection, and the instructions and information can be found on their website.
These Geocaching tours were developed as part of the school project "Administration Makes School" and have contributions from students of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. They are suitable for all age groups and levels of experience, making them an enjoyable activity for families and friends.
The tours offer exciting insights into well-known and lesser-known heritage sites in the region. Three of them focus on nature and water protection, such as on Peißnitz island or around the Heidesee in Halle (Saale). The remaining seven tours focus on heritage protection in cities like Bernburg, Eisleben, Halle, and Köthen.
Participants in the Geocaching tours will find answers to questions like where Greek temple parts are hidden in Saxony-Anhalt or where the cradle of homeopathy is located. An accompanying quiz is included to encourage learning through play.
Thomas Pleye, President of the State Administration Office, encourages explorers to use this special day to explore not only their own city but also other places in Saxony-Anhalt. The tours can be done with a smartphone or conveniently printed out, and they can be done using a GPS device or a smartphone.
Next Sunday is Heritage Day in Halle/Saale/Magdeburg, and the State Administration Office of Saxony-Anhalt is inviting everyone to join in the fun. The link to the Geocaching tours is Geocaching. So, grab your gear, and let's go on an adventure!
