Support Penny: Making a Difference, One Cent at a Time

In the bustling world of Penny, a remarkable movement has taken shape since its launch in 2015 - the "Support Penny" initiative. This initiative, with its vast network of approximately 2,400 supported associations, over 300,000 children and young people, and donations and prize money totaling more than six million euros, has truly made a significant impact.

This holiday season, Penny is dedicating its annual end-of-year campaign to the heart and soul of "Support Penny" - the volunteers, the association members, the customers who round up their purchases to the nearest ten cents, and every single supporter. It's time to celebrate the incredible success story that they've collectively created for children and young people.

Two captivating film versions, each lasting 60 and 150 seconds, set the stage for an emotionally rich experience. Through atmospheric imagery, these pieces shine a spotlight on the daily lives of various associations. Witness a children's orchestra warming up, a child with cancer cherished by their volunteer caregiver, a boy rediscovering his love for football after a long hiatus, a scout group brimming with camaraderie, and a dance class embracing those with Down syndrome. A fresh interpretation of Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" serves as the perfect soundtrack, reminding us that amidst life's challenges, the spirit of volunteerism makes the world a little brighter for countless children and young people.

"From our customers rounding up their purchases to the smallest amount, to every volunteer and association member giving their time and energy—they all contribute to making the world a kinder, more caring place." As a token of appreciation, PENNY announces that they will be doubling the donations from December 2 to December 31 for customers who choose to round up their purchases.

Shining a spotlight on the real people and stories behind the "Support Penny" initiative, the film offers a tangible representation of its importance. The 60-second campaign film will air on TV and online media platforms across Germany from December 1, while the 150-second version will be available in cinemas, on YouTube, and on foerderpenny.de. Furthermore, the film will be showcased in Penny's 2,130 stores throughout Germany and over their in-store radio.
