DVG Expands Green Roofs on Bus Shelters; Duisburger Rescued in Cornfield; Diddy Sentenced
Duisburg's public transport provider, Duisburger Verkehrsgesellschaft (DVG), is expanding its green initiative by installing more green roofs on bus shelters. Meanwhile, a local man was rescued from a cornfield in Sonsbeck, and a US rapper, known as Sean Combs, has received a prison sentence in New York.
The DVG's greening project aims to create more habitats for local wildlife and improve air quality. The green roofs also help insulate the shelters, reducing energy costs. In Sonsbeck, a 39-year-old Duisburger was found injured but alive in a cornfield on Monday afternoon. Emergency services rushed him to hospital. In New York, Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, to five years' probation and 200 hours of community service for assaulting his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend in 2020.
DVG's green roofs continue to make public transport more environmentally friendly. The Duisburger man's rescue in Sonsbeck was a relief for his family and friends. Sean Combs' sentencing brings closure to a legal case that began in 2020.
