Disney World's September Sees Exceptionally Short Wait Times
Disney World in Florida experienced unusually short wait times in September, with visitors describing the parks as nearly empty. This came despite the company offering aggressive deals to fill traditionally quiet weeks following Labor Day. September typically sees some of the year's shortest lines, and this year was no exception. Average wait times for rides dropped to around 24 minutes, even shorter than the July 4 holiday period. Some visitors likened the parks to 'ghost towns' and 'a tomb', with no wait time for popular attractions. This slowdown continued the trend from August, which was the slowest full month of the year, and July, with average wait times of 28 and 30 minutes respectively. Separately ticketed events like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party also contributed to shorter waits on those days. Despite the lull in attendance, likely due to the back-to-school season and peak hurricane season, Disney reported mostly unchanged attendance. Disney World's September saw exceptionally short wait times, with visitors enjoying minimal queues for rides. While this slowdown can be attributed to seasonal factors and aggressive deals offered by Disney, the company's attendance remained largely unaffected.
