Dinslaken Fire Department Keeps City Safe Amid Farewell to Long-Serving Chief

In the last 24 hours, the Dinslaken Fire Department has been busy responding to several incidents across the city. This comes as the department bids farewell to its long-serving head, Ulrich Borgmann, who retired after nearly 40 years of dedicated service.

The first call-out saw firefighters dispatched to Hügelstraße. However, upon arrival, they found that the individual in need had managed to open their door independently, rendering their assistance unnecessary.

Later, a 'Person in apartment' incident was reported at Gneisenaustraße. Upon reaching the scene, the fire department discovered that the door had already been opened, making their intervention unnecessary.

An abandoned mobile home at Fuchsstraße triggered a smoke alarm, but a thorough check by the firefighters revealed no hazards.

The most challenging incident of the day involved a car fire on the A3 motorway. Firefighters, equipped with heavy breathing apparatus and two water jets, worked swiftly to extinguish the blaze.

Throughout these incidents, the Dinslaken Fire Department demonstrated its commitment to public safety, even as it bids a fond farewell to Ulrich Borgmann, who has steered the department through numerous challenges over his 40-year career.
