The Thai Fruits and Food Festival 2025, a two-week celebration of Thailand's authentic culinary treasures, officially commenced at Circle Mall, JVC on August 28, 2025. This festival is a commemoration of the affinity and mutual admiration between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Thailand, and aims to foster enduring cultural and trade connections.
The inauguration was attended by distinguished dignitaries, business leaders, and members of the Thai community, including K.P. Basheer, chairman of Western International Group, Nipa Nirannoot, consul-general of Thailand to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and Duangjai Nimmanahaeminda, deputy director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Dubai Office.
Pitichai Ratananaka, executive director of the Thai Trade Center Dubai, spoke at the ceremony, emphasizing Thailand's commitment to authenticity and quality. The festival underscores the diversity of Thai cuisine and the tenderness of Thai hospitality, offering exclusive discounts on a diverse selection of Thai fruits and food products from August 28 to September 10, 2025.
Attendees were treated to authentic Thai dishes prepared on-site and a variety of fresh Thai fruits. Little Bangkok, a Thai Select certified restaurant, provided live culinary demonstrations at the opening ceremony. The festival's campaign theme is "Think Food, Think Thailand," encouraging consumers to experience authentic Thai flavors and high-quality products.
The Thai Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of the festival in strengthening relationships based on mutual respect, quality, and authenticity. The partnership between the Thai Trade Center Dubai and Nesto Hypermarket was further solidified at the event.
