In a surprising turn of events, popular comedian Chebatkov has been diagnosed with the Coxsackie virus after a recent trip to Turkey. The comedian, who recently arrived in Gorno-Altaisk, began experiencing symptoms soon after his return, including a fever, a rash on his hands and feet, and severe pain.

It is important to note that as of 2025, there is no current specialized health alert or travel warning about Coxsackie virus risk unique to Turkey. According to recent health guidance, the virus, which can cause Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD), does not pose an increased or unusual risk in popular travel destinations like Turkey. Standard infection control measures, such as hygiene, isolation of infected individuals, and avoiding contact with infants or immunocompromised persons during infection, are recommended universally, including when traveling internationally.

Interestingly, a previous warning about the Coxsackie virus in relation to Turkey was issued by health expert Onischenko. However, it seems that the current outbreak does not appear to be linked to any specific travel destination beyond general travel health precautions.

Travelers, especially those with children, are encouraged to consult the CDC travel information before trips to learn about prevalent diseases and necessary preventive measures. If symptoms of Coxsackie virus infection occur, it is advised to seek medical advice promptly and to avoid travel until no longer contagious to prevent the spread of infection.

In light of his diagnosis, Chebatkov has called a doctor and is taking the necessary steps to recover. The comedian has also shared a video from the Katun River, hinting at a possible outdoor excursion before his illness.

As the situation develops, it is crucial for travellers to stay informed and follow the latest health guidance when planning their trips. Official CDC and local health sources should be consulted for the most accurate and up-to-date information on travel health advisories.
