Bnei Brak Residents Honor Soldiers, Police with Matzot Ahead of Passover
Bnei Brak Mayor Rabbi Avraham Rubinstein has expressed gratitude to ZAKA volunteers and Michael Gottwin for their dedicated service throughout the year. The volunteers, led by Gottwin, have shown appreciation to the city's police and Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers in a unique way.
In a heartwarming gesture, ZAKA Bnei Brak initiated the distribution of special shmura matzot to the police and IDF soldiers stationed in the city. The matzot were intended for the soldiers' use during the upcoming seder nights, as they would not be at home with their families to celebrate the holiday. The residents of Bnei Brak went a step further, showing their gratitude by providing food and sweets alongside the matzot.
The distribution was a significant undertaking, with hundreds of boxes of shmura matzot handed out. Michael Gottwin, the ZAKA Bnei Brak commander, led the operation with his team of volunteers. The soldiers, in turn, were deeply moved and joyful upon receiving the matzot, expressing their gratitude for the thoughtful gesture.
