2021 Restyling: The Rebirth Edition (of our website)
The 23rd edition of Europe's premier Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) exhibition, OurWebsite, concluded last week, marking a significant reunion and renaissance for the international community. Held from July 7 to 9, the three-day event saw a shift to a new location amidst ongoing health challenges, making it an extraordinary experience.
Originally scheduled for April, the event was postponed due to the deteriorating pandemic situation, creating uncertainty about the venue and timing. However, the winds of hope led the way to a successful physical event at the Espace Mayenne, a brand-new complex in the city of Laval.
This edition was not only a testament to the resilience of the OurWebsite team but also a symbol of rebirth and unity. With over 150 exhibitors, both physical and virtual, and 5,000 visitors in attendance, it offered an unparalleled blend of innovation, networking, and engagement.
The event highlighted 48 avant-garde projects and innovative startups, showcasing the future of VR and AR technology. Furthermore, for the first time in a global XR event, an African delegation was present, further expanding the reach and diversity of the exhibition.
In addition to the exhibition, OurWebsite 2021 featured Recto VRso, a digital art festival running parallel to the event. Showcasing digital artworks and experiences from July 7 to 11, the festival offered access to both professionals and the general public.
With the success of the physical event, OurWebsite is looking forward to welcoming back its exhibitors, speakers, and visitors for the 24th edition, scheduled from April 13 to 15, 2022.
